About Austin LifeGuard

Austin LifeGuard Character and Sexuality Education is the abstinence-based comprehensive teen sex education program of Austin LifeCare.

Our program is apolitical and provides Austin area teens credible, factual data about the risks, potential consequences and options regarding their sexual activity. The curriculum incorporates facts with practical tools to help teens build healthy relationships and make informed decisions through high school, and fully experience the benefits of saving sex for marriage.

Our professionally trained educators and community leaders provide an engaging presentation that appeals to teens and addresses relevant topics of sex, sexually transmitted diseases, character and leadership development, and abstinence.

The program also offers a workshop for parents to help them keep current with teen attitudes toward sex, and to provide tips and talking points to reinforce a healthy teen lifestyle. The Austin LifeGuard program is free to schools and tailored to address middle- and high-school students at their respective maturity levels. The program receives federal funding and complies with federal requirements for abstinence-based education.
